Conscious Marketing

IT’S NOT ABOUT SELLING

A 3-Hour Workshop on Visibility, Trust, and Staying in Relationship

This workshop is for people who are tired of being told to persuade, optimize, and perform their way into relevance—and are instead looking for a more grounded, genuine way to talk about their work.

Marketing doesn’t have to feel like a performance. And it doesn’t have to revolve around selling.

I don’t teach sales tactics in my work because they often prioritize pressure over trust.

What actually sustains our work is visibility, clarity, and relationships—not rigid sales plans.

Tristan Katz (they/he) is a writer, educator, and marketing strategist supporting entrepreneurs in showing up with clarity, care, and courage.

Their work weaves anti-oppression practice and embodied storytelling into the business world—inviting leaders and creatives to break the rules of extractive marketing and lead in ways that actually feel honest.

What this workshop is (and isn’t):

This is not a workshop about funnels, scripts, or closing techniques.

This is a workshop about communication, discernment, and staying in relationship over time.

It’s for people who want their marketing to:

  • feel honest instead of strategic-for-strategy’s-sake

  • build trust instead of urgency

  • reflect their values instead of flattening them

  • support sustainability instead of burnout

Selling may still happen—but it won’t be the center.

This is for you if you:

  • feel exhausted by marketing advice that prioritizes pressure over people

  • want to talk about your work without constantly trying to “sell yourself”

  • care more about trust than tactics

  • are unsure about how to show up consistently without performing, or over-working

  • want your visibility to feel aligned, grounded, and real

We don’t need a louder pitch. We don’t need a new logo. We don’t need to find our niche.

We need a clearer relationship with our work—and with the people we serve.

What we’ll explore together:

Why Selling Became the Focus—and Why It’s Breaking Down

We’ll look at how urgency, optimization, and performance became defaults in marketing—and why they’re increasingly ineffective (and exhausting) for both creators and audiences.

You’ll gain language for:

  • why so much marketing feels hollow right now

  • why pressure erodes trust

  • why visibility without clarity doesn’t work

part 1

Marketing as Ongoing Relationship

Marketing doesn’t begin when you launch—and it doesn’t end when you sell.

We’ll explore:

  • what it means to show up when you’re not promoting something

  • how trust is built slowly, through repetition and presence

  • the difference between consistency and constancy

  • why being understood matters more than being seen

This is where marketing shifts from output to connection.

part 2

What to Do Instead of Selling

If selling is actually separate from marketing, then what are we sharing?

We’ll focus on practical ways to communicate your work without defaulting to pressure:

  • teaching instead of pitching

  • naming patterns your audience already feels

  • offering clarity instead of persuasion

  • making invitations instead of pushes

You’ll leave with a clearer sense of how to show up—and why.

part 3

When Clarity Does the Work

We don’t sell. People opt in when clarity, resonance, and readiness align.

This reframes “conversion” as:

  • not persuasion

  • not closing

  • not overcoming objections

…but as recognition.

People don’t need to be convinced. They need to understand what you offer and decide if it’s for them.

part 4

+ Frequently asked questions +

  • This isn’t a “how to beat the algorithm” workshop. This is about redefining your relationship to visibility, messaging, and marketing—through the lens of activism, identity, and care. We’ll name power. We’ll break rules. We’ll root your voice in truth, not trend.

  • Nope. This space is intentionally anti-hustle and trauma-aware.
You’ll be invited to find your sustainable rhythm—not pushed to “do more.” There will be grounding practices, breaks, and prompts to help you discern what’s right for you, not what the marketing world tells you to chase.

  • Yes. If you can’t attend live, or need to leave early during the session, you’ll receive access to the full replay for 3 months.

  • Not at all. This workshop meets you wherever you are—whether you’re brand new to business, a seasoned leader, or somewhere in between. If you care about integrity, impact, and your voice being heard—you belong here.

  • Maybe. Maybe not. That’s not the focus.

This is about building trust and connection, not gaming the system. When you market with alignment, you often do see more resonance and reach—but this space isn’t about quick fixes or conversion hacks.

  • The pricing structure reflect a commitment to economic justice and accessibility.

Please choose the tier that aligns with your financial reality. No explanation required. If none of the tiers are accessible, feel free to reach out—we’ll work something out; again, no explanation required, no one turned away for lack of funds.

  • Absolutely. This space is for you.
You don’t have to show up loudly to show up powerfully. Together, we’ll explore how to market in ways that feel aligned with your nervous system, your truth, and your capacity.

  • That’s completely okay—and honestly, very welcome.

You don’t need a polished brand, a big audience, or fully formed offers to take this workshop.

This space is about learning how to talk about your work clearly and honestly; early-stage work is not a disadvantage here—it’s an invitation to build with intention from the start.

I would recommend Tristan wholeheartedly to anyone seeking to grow their work with integrity and purpose.
